Former Hutchinson CC Blue Dragons Bolster West Virginia Defense

Former Hutchinson Blue Dragons KJ Henson, Darius Wiley, Da’Mun Allen and Rayshawn Reynolds will be lining up on defense for the West Virginia University Mountaineers and coach Rich Rodriguez in 2026.

WVU posted a record of 4-8 during the 2025 season.

The Mountaineers open the season Sept. 5 at home at Milan Puksar Stadium in Morgantown, W.Va., against Coastal Carolina University and hosts the University of Tennessee-Martin on Sept. 12. West Virginia plays a rivalry game at the University of Virginia on Sept. 19.

West Virginia’s first Big 12 Conference game is at home Oct. 3 against Oklahoma State. Other home games are Arizona Oct. 10, Cincinnati on Oct. 17, Kansas on Nov. 14 and Houston on Nov. 21.

Other road games for the Mountaineers are Iowa State University on Oct. 3, TCU on Oct. 24, Texas Tech on Nov. 7 and Utah on Nov. 27

KJ Henson, 6-4, 284 redshirt junior defensive lineman

In two seasons at Hutchinson Community College, Henson made 65 tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss and 11.5 sacks in 20 games

Henson was named 2025 NJCAA D1 All-American honorable mention and All-Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference’s first team honoree eyes continued success at WVU alongside his Hutchinson CC teammates Da’Mun Allen, Rayshawn Reynolds Jr. and fellow defensive lineman Darius Wiley.

Darius Wiley, 6-6, 268 redshirt sophomore defensive lineman

Transferring in from Hutchinson Community College, Darius Wiley joins the Mountaineers with a sensational season of football under his belt.

Wiley recorded 57 total tackles in 2025, including 20 tackles for loss and nine sacks, earning him NJCAA D1 All-American First-Team honors and the All-Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Defensive Player of the Year.

Wiley’s name is one that fans can expect to hear plenty of in 2026 if the big man can replicate his success with the Blue Dragons.

Da’Mun Wiley, 6-3, 201, junior cornerback

Wiley was honored as 2025 NJCAA DI All-American Honorable Mention Defense, All-Kansas Junior and Community College All-Conference First Team Cornerback.

He helped lead Hutchinson to an 11-1 record, a 6-0 conference mark and No. 2 in the final NJCAA national ranking and making an appearance in the national championship game. In 11 games as a sophomore, he collected 28 tackles, including 16 unassisted tackles.

Wiley added four interceptions and two pass breakups. He had two interceptions and five tackles against Dodge City and eason-high seven tackles against Iowa Central CC. He registered four tackles against Coffeyville CC and Iowa Western CC

In 2024 as a freshman, Wiley attended Northeastern Oklahoma A&M

Rayshawn Reynolds 6-3, 186 junior cornerback

Reynolds collected 20 tackles, one tackle for loss, one interception for 13 yards and 11 pass breakups. He finished with two pass breakups against Ellsworth CC, registered two solo tackles and three pass breakups against Butler CC, recorded a 13-yard interception return against Garden City CC and finished with three pass breakups against Coffeyville CC.

In 2024 at Hutchinson CC , Reynolds totaled 14 tackles, one tackle for loss, one fumble recovery, one interception for a 33-yard return and two pass breakups. He fnished with two pass breakups against Dodge City.
