Buhler Girls Soccer Team’s Season Ends with Loss to Rose Hill in Regional Final

The Buhler High School varsity girls soccer team lost to Rose Hill 2-0 in the Class 4-1A girls soccer West Regional 4 championship game Thursday at Rose Hill.

Kyia Kelly and Katie Leck scored the goals for the Rose Hill Rockets.

Buhler finished the season with an 11-5-2 record.

“Our season comes to an end in the regional championship match,” said Buhler girls soccer coach Randall Rank. “ I am proud of this group for leaving it all on the field and competing until the final whistle.

“Thank you to our seniors for everything you’ve given to this program over the last four years. Your leadership, commitment, and memories will always be appreciated. Best wishes in your next journey. I am proud to be your coach.”

In the next round, the Rose Hill Rockets (13-5) will play the winner of Thursday’s McPherson vs. Classical School of Wichita regional final.

The girls state quarterfinals game will be on Monday. Location and time are to be determined.
