The Buhler and Hutchinson high school girls swim teams placed first and second at the Salina South Invitational on Thursday.
Buhler placed first with 484 points, followed by Hutchinson 434, Hays High 416, Great Bend 314.5, Salina South 277.5, Salina Central 250 and Abilene 32.
Hutchinson’s Aubrey Gooch placed first in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2 minutes, 14.06 seconds and the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:14.71.
Hutchinson’s Julianna Stivers won the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:14.52 and placed third in the 200 IM (2:54.82).
The 200-medley relay team of Stivers, Gooch, Mariana Pina and Morgan Most placed third (2:16.83), the 200 free relay team of Most, Jade Brislin, Pina and Emma Buller placed third (2:05.37) and the 400 free relay team of Buller, Stivers, Most and Gooch placed third (4:27.91).
Buller placed third in the 200 free (2:32.13) and fourth in the 500 free (7:03.15).
Brislin placed fourth in the 100 backstroke (1:32.32) and seventh in the 200 free relay (2:53.78).
Kensley Keast place seventh in the 100 backstroke (1:37.86) and Nora Yoder was seventh in the 100 free (1:18.24).
Selena Eddington and Addie Yoder placed 8-10 in the 500 free (8:21.37 and 9:23.77). Addie Yoder placed 10th in the 100 breaststroke (1:45.63). Nora Yoder and Pina placed 9-10 in the 100 breaststroke (1:38.84 and 1:39.23). Pina was ninth in the 200 IM 3:29.49).
Navali Guillen, Emma Scott and Keast placed 9-10-11 in the 50 free (36.41, 36.53 and 36.75). Dunn and Scott placed 11-13 in the 100 free (1:27.64 and 1:28.12).
Hutchinson B placed sixth in the 200 free relay (2:30.01), seventh in the 400 free relay (4:27.97) and ninth in the 200 medley relay (2:45.38).
Hutchinson and Buhler will compete at the Hutchinson Invitational Wednesday at the Hutchinson YMCA pool. Also competing are Dodge City, Goddard Eisenhower, Garden City, Holcomb and Liberal.
