HUTCHINSON, Kan. – [March 4, 2026]- Hutchinson voters approved the city sales tax question during the March 3, 2026 special election.
Beginning October 1, 2026, the additional 0.75% city sales tax will go into effect. The tax will remain in place through September 30, 2036 and can be used to support city services including stormwater, streets, and parks.
The City would like to thank the residents who took the time to participate in the election. Community participation in local elections is an important part of civic engagement and helps shape the future of Hutchinson.
Additional information about the implementation will be shared with the community as the October 2026 effective date approaches.
