McPHERSON COUNTY, Kan. — One person was killed and another injured when an SUV and utility vehicle collided late Tuesday afternoon northwest of McPherson.
According to the McPherson County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred just after 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of 12th and Moccasin Road, about a mile and a half west of the Old 81 Bypass on what’s known as Meatpacker Road.
Investigators said the UTV was northbound on 12th when it struck the westbound SUV in the intersection. The UTV driver, who was ejected from the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the SUV was taken to McPherson Center for Health for treatment of injuries.
No identification of the victims is available at this time.
