HUTCHINSON, Kan. — February 17, 2026 — National Modular MFG LLC, with operations in Haven, Kansas, and Providence, North Carolina, has signed a long-term lease to double the size of its Kansas operations. The expansion includes a 57,600-square-foot facility located in the Kansas Enterprise Industrial Park (KEIP) in Hutchinson.

National Modular manufactures modular units for national brands such as 7 Brew Coffee. According to the company, its modular facilities deliver “the strength and quality of traditional stick-built construction with the added benefits of transportability and efficiency.” The additional space will significantly increase manufacturing capacity to support the company’s continued growth.

National Modular Manufacturing distinguishes itself in the modular industry by leveraging local talent to complete 138 drive-thru buildings last year. Notably, their expertise goes beyond constructing just the building itself—they are among the few manufacturers that also build and deliver the entire drive-thru canopy system. In many cases, drive-thru canopies are provided separately, even with modular or site-built structures. By serving as a true “one stop shop,” National Modular offers project owners an extra layer of oversight and control.

National Modular is committed to a single construction method: welded steel frames. This approach doesn’t merely match site-built structures—it surpasses them in quality. Their units are engineered to meet requirements across the United States and Canada, handling any snow load, wind load (including hurricane standards), and seismic zone specifications. Additionally, the company helps developers simplify projects by reducing the number of on-site trades required.

With these advantages, along with modular accessories custom-built for each unit, National Modular’s construction style is becoming increasingly popular with national brands and is fueling demand for expanded manufacturing capacity. This single expansion will allow National Modular to complete a minimum of 200 units this year.

“We chose to lease the spec building in Hutchinson because it allowed for immediate expansion,” said a company Representative of National Modular Mfg LLC. “The building was ready to go, and city and county leaders have been extremely supportive of our rapid growth since we established operations in Haven more than five years ago. Salt City Investments has been very responsive in finishing out the building to meet our needs, and the Greater Hutch Economic Development Partnership has supported this effort by advocating for property tax exemptions and job creation incentives.”

“Salt City Investments built this spec building to be ready for opportunities like this,” said Brad Pryor of Salt City Investments. “It allows a growing national company with roots in Reno County to quickly capitalize on expansion. This is exactly the type of project we are proud to support, and we expect to continue replicating this spec development model to fuel future growth.”

Reno County Commission Chair Ron Hirst emphasized the county’s role in supporting local expansion. “Reno County has long been a committed partner in economic development,” said Hirst. “We congratulate National Modular and look forward to continuing our support as the company grows and creates jobs at both of its expanding locations, generating significant economic impact across the county.”

Hutchinson Mayor Scott Meggers added, “The City supported the vision of Salt City Investments when they acquired land in KEIP because we want to demonstrate that Hutchinson is open for business and ready to help companies grow. We’re pleased to see a homegrown company continue to choose Reno County for expansion.”

Debra Teufel, President and CEO of the Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber of Commerce, noted the importance of having move-in-ready industrial space. “When Salt City Investments recognized the need for modern industrial product, they invested their own dollars through a partnership of local investors. We are grateful for that commitment, which will create jobs and strengthen National Modular’s long-term investment in our county.”
