Storm Fury on the Plains at the Hutchinson Fire Department Command Training Center at 6:30 p.m. This storm identification and safety presentation is put on by the National Weather Service.

Dillon Lecture Series Welcomes Larry Hatteberg: 2:00 pm., at Stringer Fine Arts Center, 600 E. 11th. The Dillon Lecture Series welcomes Larry Hatteberg, Award-Winning Kansas Journalist.

Lyons Kansas FUMC Methodist Women Annual Soup Supper at the Education Building (John Wesely Hall) from 5 to 7 p.m. Free will offering accepted.

The Fox Classic/Retro Film Series: Honey I Shrunk the Kids at 7:00 pm. The scientist father of a teenage girl and boy accidentally shrinks his and two other neighborhood teens to the size of insects. Now the teens must fight diminutive dangers as the father searches for them. Doors open 45 minutes prior to showtime. Students must show ID for student discount.  Fox Film passes may be used for this film. Admission: $7.00 Adults (No advance tickets – $6.00 Students/Military/Seniors (60+)

Mennonite Friendship Communities Annual Liverwurst & Mush Dinner from 5 to 8 at Journey Activity Center. The menu includes Homemade Liverwurst, Fried Mush, Cream Gravy, Tomato Gravy, and Whole Hog Sausage.  

Saturday, February 28

Hutch Mini Con 2026: from 11a.m. to 6 p.m. at Memorial Hall. Inside Memorial Hall you will find lots of fun FREE events for everyone in the family. Outside you will enjoy a Car Show and Food Trucks.  $5.00 per person ages 16 & up, 15 & Under FREE with an adult! 

The Fox Classic/Retro Film Series: The Wizard of Oz February 28 and March 1, 2026.  Showtimes are Saturday at 7:00 pm and Sunday at 2:00 pm. Young Dorothy Gale and her dog Toto are swept away by a tornado from their Kansas farm to the magical Land of Oz and embark on a quest with three new friends to see the Wizard, who can return her to her home and fulfill the others’ wishes. Doors open 45 minutes prior to showtime.  Students must show ID for student discount.  Fox Film passes may be used for this film.
