The schedule for the St. John Mid-Winter Classic has changed because of inclement weather has been forecast for the weekend in Kansas.
“We would like to thank Macksville schools for being willing to host the consolation games so we can combine Thursday and Friday night games into one night,” said St. John athletic director Justin Nusser on the St. John-Hudson Tigers USD 350 Facebook page.
“We are still trying to figure out how and when we will be able to get all the final round games in while working with all the schools different schedules. We will release that information when a plan is put into place.”
Schedule for games to be played Thursday for the 2026 Mid-Winter Classic will be as follows:
Thursday, Jan. 22 at St. John
Championship semifinals
3:30 p.m. Larned girls vs. Inman
5 p.m. Little River boys vs. Larned
6:30 p.m. Little River girls vs. Central Plains
8 p.m. St. John boys vs. Central Plains
Thursday, Jan. 22 at Macksville
Consolation semifinals
3:30 p.m. Cimarron girls vs. Macksville
5 p.m. Cimarron boys vs. Inman
6:30 p.m. St. John girls vs. Nickerson
8 p.m. Nickerson boys vs. Macksville
