Hutchinson’s Aiden Koontz had a course personal record (19.08.99) and Avery Tecklenburg posted a race PR (23.17.15) at the Rim Rock Farm Classic cross country race Saturday in Lawrence.
The Top 25 runners in each division medaled.
Cristian Medina placed 16th and medaled in his division race (17.59.46.).
Also posting times for the Salthawks were Ainsley Zies (24.50.99), Lya Rivera (26.41.59) and Jacob Rogers (22.15.15).
Haven’s Isaiah Doherty takes 31st place in varsity gold boys division at Rim Rock invite
Haven High School senior Isaiah Doherty placed 31st in the varsity boys gold division with a time of 17 minutes, 12.19 seconds Rim Rock Farm Classic cross country race Saturday in Lawrence.
Canton-Galva runners Dieker, McMannis compete at Rim Rock Farm meet
Canton Galva’s Jaycob Dieker and Faith McMannis competed Saturday at the Rim Rock High School Classic in the 1A-4A Blue Division 5K race.
Dieker placed 81st out of 392 runners in the boys race with a time of 19:03.81. McMannis placed 71st out of 273 runners in the girls with a time of 23:03.64.
Schools from Kansas, Colorado, Missouri, Oklahoma and Nebraska all came together Saturday to compete in the rain and mud at Rim Rock Farm.
Area schools competing were Buhler, Canton-Galva, Goessel, Great Bend, Halstead, Haven, Hays, Hesston, Hoisington, Hutchinson, Hutchinson Trinity Catholic, Inman, Lyons, McPherson, Newton, Rose Hill, Salina Central, St. John-Hudson, Stafford and Valley Center.
Great Bend’s Schroeter 4th, Lashley 7th at Rim Rock cross country meet
Great Bend High School’s Decorah Schroeter placed fourth in the varsity girls gold division 5K and Brogan Ashley was seventh in the varsity boys crimson division 5K Saturday at the Rim Rock High School Classic.
Schroeter posted a time of 18 minutes, 58.72 seconds, and Lashley was clocked at 17:46.64.
Bella Long placed 95th in the girls 5K gold division race with a time of 21:59.88, followed by Samantha Negaard, 111th, 22:17.3; Sydney Jones, 140th, 23:48.81; Rhayna Jording, 141st, 23:53.45; Alyssa Prendergast, 150th, 24:26.79; and Mia Bauer, 158th, 25:27.02.
Noah Kaiser placed 33rd in the boys crimson division with a time of 18:25.92, followed by Isaac Aldano, 54th, 18:45.3; Dalton Gregg, 79th, 19:08.46; Alexis Garcia, 114th, 19:36.56; Julian Hernandez, 116th, 19:40.14; and Deacon Singleton, 128th, 20:00.76.
Four Halstead cross country runners compete at Rim Rock Farm Classic
Four Halstead High School runners competed in the varsity blue division at the Rim Rock Farm cross country meet Saturday in Lawrence.
Bailey Alllmon placed 79th in the varsity blue girls division with a time of 23 minutes, 16.73 seconds.
In the varsity blue boys division, Halstead’s Eli Wilcox placed 235th, 21:04.4; Kyran Davis, 236th, 21:05.44; and Russell Schroeder, 324th, 22:46.81.
Hoisington runners compete at Rim Rock Invitational
The Hoisington High School cross country team had great representation Saturday in Lawrence at the Rim Rock Invitational.
Hoisington’s three runners battled the mud to place high in their divisions.
Brody Rossman ran a 17:37 time to finish 56th (out of 157) in the top level. Tristin Compton ran a 21:08 to finish 17th (out of 217) and Jensynn Williams placed 32nd with a season personal record of 22:03.
