Swede’s men’s Golf Compete in Battle at The Dance

Windsor, Colo. – The Bethany College Men’s Golf team traveled to Windsor, Colo. to partake in the Battle at the Dance hosted by Hastings College.

As a team, the Swedes placed 8th. The Swedes would have some solid rounds throughout the event, but struggled with the tough playing surface as well as weather conditions in Colorado.

Mads Hasenschwandtner placed the best out of the Swedes shooting a 233 (+17) resulting in a 23rd place finish overall. Hasenschwandtner played his best ball in the second-round shooting five over (77) in tough conditions. Luke Tate would finish the tournament in 29th place after shooting a total of 238 (+22) throughout the tournament. Will Briggs placed 33th overall with a 240 (+24) with his best round being Round 2 where he shot an impressive 75 (+3) in tough conditions Monday afternoon. Aiden Lynch ended up shooting 246 (+30). Taylor Hardin 258 (+42) rounded out the fourth tournament of the season for the Swedes. Beckham Sanguras played as individual for the Swedes and finished in 35th. Sanguras had the round of the tournament for the Swedes shooting an even par (72) in the last round.

Coming up next week, both, Men and Women, will travel to Dodge City, Kan. to compete in the KCAC Matchplay tournament which will also conclude the Fall season.
