SHARE NOW

HUTCHINSON, Kan. (September 10, 2025) – What a great morning at the Kansas State Fair! Droves of people are pouring through the gates, eager to celebrate Wildcat Wednesday. The fairgrounds are abuzz, and the light cloud cover and cool temperatures are making for absolutely perfect fair weather.

But the real showstopper today? The music! More than fifty marching bands from across the state are parading throughout the fairgrounds, their vibrant sounds a true “cherry on top” to an already fantastic day at the fair. It’s Marching Band Day, and you can feel the energy.

Getting to the fair is a breeze, thanks to the collaborative efforts of the Kansas State Fair board, Hutchinson Community College, and the City of Hutchinson. They’ve tackled the parking challenge head-on, with cool, comfortable buses running constantly from the Hutchinson Sports Arena, the Hutchinson Uptown Mall, and Bold 3PL. For more information on parking, visit the Kansas State Fair Website.

There have been some scheduling changes for today.  The Nex-Tech Grandstand Concert featuring Josiah Queen with Ben Fuller will now begin at 6:30 p.m., with doors opening at 5:00 p.m.  This change allows the concert to finish with enough time for attendees to utilize the free shuttle service to exit the fairgrounds.

There’s so much to see and do today, so come on down and enjoy the music and the magic of the Kansas State Fair!
