Area Students Receive American FFA Degrees

Several area FFA members are among 75 from Kansas who will be presented the American FFA Degree at the 98th annual National FFA Convention and Expo later this year.

The American FFA Degree, the organization’s highest honor, recognizes the effort members apply towards their supervised agricultural experience and outstanding leadership abilities and community involvement through their FFA Career.

Area recipients receiving the American FFA Degree include:

  • Buhler – Kristen Hamby
  • Canton-Galva – Isom Marston and Lane McMannis
  • Centre – Karsen Kroupka and Alexandra Stuchlik
  • Ellsworth – Rebeka Vague
  • Inman – Jacob Eck, Kylie Flaming, and Zachary Martisko
  • Little River – Peyton Erickson and Courtney Stansbury
  • Lyons – Wirken Scobee
  • Minneapolis – Weston Schrader.

Little River FFA notes, according to the Kansas FFA archives, Peyton and Courtney are only the second and third American FFA Degree recipients in the chapter’s history. The other was Kermit Case in 1953.
