The McPherson Park Department’s pollinator garden project has expanded to include local elementary students who created artwork in memory of Ike Bauer, a 2023 McPherson High School graduate.
Pavers honoring Bauer are at a bench by the pickleball courts in Challenger Park. The garden now features plants and a new path.
Organizers say the project is helping preserve memories and strengthen community ties. A Childhood Cancer Awareness Walk is set for Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
