Provisional ballots changed the outcome of last week’s Moundridge City Council primary election.
McPherson County Clerk Hollie Melroy said during Monday’s election canvass by County Commissioners three provision ballots were allowed, and when those ballots were counted Ron Blaylock picked up two additional votes allowing him to get the 4th and final spot for the general election in November.
Unofficial results last week had Patrick Lambert one vote ahead of Blaylock for the final spot out of seven candidates. With the provisional votes added Blaylock had 18 votes to Lambert’s 17. James Ratzlaff, Ryan Durst, and Dave Whitcomb will also be on the November ballot.
