Two Second Half Goals Doom Bluejay Women’s Soccer in Season-Opener

HILLSBORO, Kan. – Tabor College Women’s Soccer opened up the 2026 season on Wednesday afternoon as they play host to Texas Wesleyan.

Texas Wesleyan opened up the scoring at the 11:17′ mark, and Haven Deckinger provided the answer with her first goal of the season at the 33:47′ mark. The teams went goal-for-goal one more time, with the Rams scoring their second goal of the match at the 51:05′ mark, and Haley Rogers providing the answer at the 55:47′ mark with her first goal of the season. Texas Wesleyan would score twice more to hand Tabor the loss.

Deckinger led the way offensively with two shots on goal, while Makenna Balzer provided the lone assist of the match.

Bluejay Soccer returns to action on Saturday as they head east to Baldwin City, Kan. to take on Baker. Kickoff is set for 7:00pm.
