Tiger Golf Opens 2026-27 Campaign at the Carmichael Cup in Salina

Salina, Kan. – Both the Central Christian College of Kansas Tiger Golf teams kicked off their fall season at the Carmichael Cup held at Salina Municipal Golf Course in Salina, Kan.

The Men would play 36 on Monday followed by their final 18 on Tuesday. The Women played 18 on Monday and the final 18 on Tuesday.

On the Men’s side, they were led by Avery Pearson who shot 4-over for the tournament with rounds of 70, 72, and 75 for a total of 217.

As a team, the Tigers finished in 6th place, shooting 877 across the two days with team scores of 293, 293, and 291.

Joellen Vogt led the way for the Women as she shot 18-over for the tournament, and finishing tied for 10th place. She turned in rounds of 81 and 77 for a two day total of 158.

As a team, the Tigers finished in 4th place, shooting 342 and 334 for a total of 676.

The Tiger men and women are back in action next week as they host the Central Kansas Classic at Turkey Creek Golf Course in McPherson, Kansas.
