El Dorado, Kan. – The Bethany College Swedes Cross Country team traveled down to El Dorado, Kan. to partake in the Ollie Isom Invitational hosted by Butler Community College. The races were run on the El Dorado Legions Disc Golf Course as the women competed in the 5k while the men competed in the 8k. Teams from NCAA Division II, NJCAA, and the NAIA were all competing in the invitational.
On the women’s side, Logan Pevehouse led the Swedes for a second time in as many competitions running a 23:15 to place 48th out of 85 runners. Isabelle Taillon wasn’t too far behind finishing with a time of 23:36 to place 52nd. Katherine Stewart (60th) and Lydia Escalante (66th) rounded out the placements for the Swedes.
For the men, Bradey Obley led the charge with a time of 29:39 to place 48th out of 122 runners. Jaden King would place 80th with a time of 33:12 and Isaac Levario would finish in 84th with a time of 33:40.

The Swedes will have a bit of a break as their next meet is scheduled for Saturday, October 3. Their next meet is the John Muthama-Rogers Invitational hosted by Bethel College in Newton, Kan. The women are set to begin at 9:00 AM followed by the men’s race at 10:00 AM.
