Smoky Valley used quick-strike plays, including a 55-yard TD pass on its first offensive play of the season from Mason Riedel to Eli Lambert, and an 85-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Lambert to open the second half, to give coach Caleb Lambert his first head-coaching win in a 38-16 victory over Larned.
Senior Crew Elliott also added two touchdown runs.
