Lindsborg, Kan. – The Bethany College Athletic Department welcomes Khyree Marshall back as part of the Swedes Football program. He will serve as the Defensive Backs coach.
“I have always tried to hire from within the program for coaches,” said Head Football Coach Mike Grossner. “Khyree is a perfect example of that process within our program. He had a great career as a player and had the desire to stay connected to the game. Khyree made a great decision to complete his education during this process. We are excited to have him back coaching our defensive backs!”
Marshall returns to the same coaching staff that coached him for most of his collegiate career. While playing linebacker at Bethany College from 2022 until 2025, he racked up 71 total tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss 8 pass breakups and 6 interceptions including 5 in his senior year.
Following his senior year, Marshall went on to coach the linebackers for the 2025 season as a graduate assistant. Prior to coaching last fall, Marshall played in the International Football Alliance for the Ohio Valley Ironmen.
“Football has always been about more than the game, it’s about building leaders, creating lifelong relationships, and pursuing excellence every day,” said Coach Marshall. “I’m excited to coach the Bethany Swedes and am committed to helping our players and program reach new levels of success.”
Khyree earned his Bachelor of Arts in Administration from Bethany College in May 2024 and remained at Bethany College for his Master of Business Administration in May 2025.
Bethany College (KS) Swedes are located in Lindsborg, Kan. and is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC).
