Wichita, Kan. – The Bethany College Swedes Outdoor Track & Field teams traveled down to Wichita, Kan. to show out in the 2026 KCAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The Swedes would have some huge performances throughout the entire meet.
The women would tie for 11th place with the 4 x 100m relay team of Obioma Asiama, Katherine Stewart, Ariana Hurley, and Cheyenne Sawyer placing seventh with a time of 55.42 earning two points.
The men would tally 28 points for placement of eighth. Gage Burk led off the scoring with 10 points in the High Jump as he would place first with a clearance of 2.03m. Dylan Brice would follow that up on the next day with 10 points of his own with a first-place finish. Brice’s clearance of 5.10m was good enough win the event and tie him for the best clearance in the NAIA.
Jackson Montei-Wallace put up three points with his sixth-place finish in the 1500m run with a time of 4:03.91s. Relay teams would tally the final five points as the 4 x 100m relay team took eighth (one point) and the 4 x 800m relay took home fifth (four points).

As of now, the Swedes do not have a last chance meet scheduled. The next meet scheduled is the 2026 NAIA Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track & Field National Championships at the Karl Straus Track on the campus of the University of North Carolina – Asheville in Asheville, N.C. from May 20 through May 22.
