U.S. farm equipment sales continued to fall in September as farmers faced weak grain prices and high production costs.

Tractor sales dropped 16 percent compared with a year ago, while combine sales fell 10 percent.

The Salina Post reported many farmers are holding onto older equipment, buying used machinery, and spending more on repairs and replacement parts instead of investing in new equipment.
