McPherson Public Schools are getting ready for the new school year, with teachers and staff taking part in professional development and orientation this week.
New teacher orientation is underway, followed by district and building training.
The first day of school is August 19, with students dismissed at 12:30. Kindergarten and pre-K students will begin on a staggered schedule.
