HomeMcPherson NewsMcPherson Park and Tree Boards to be CombinedMcPherson Park and Tree Boards to be CombinedTue, January 17, 2023 by Aaron NapierSHARE NOW By Lucky Kidd, Ad Astra Radio MCPHERSON, Kan. – An new ordinance that combines the McPherson Park and Tree Boards was adopted by the McPherson City Commission Tuesday.Commissioners asked City Attorney Jeff Houston to research whether the two boards could be combined, and he indicated it could, so as long as the Park Board is designated as the Tree Board to meet Tree City USA requirements.The combined board will include two new members, Gary Flory and Kendra Flory, current Park Board members Ronn Peters and Bonnie Hoffman, and current Tree Board members Kurt Wagner, Michael McIrvin, and Jan Hurst. Those appointments were approved as a separate item.
