Two Burlington residents were injured Monday morning in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 35 near Shawnee Mission Parkway in the Kansas City area.
The crash happened shortly before 11 a.m. when a northbound car driven by 26-year-old Arnold Lancaster of Olathe left the highway, struck a parked pickup and then returned to the roadway, where it collided with a pickup driven by 74-year-old Robert Rainbolt of Burlington.
Rainbolt and his passenger, 46-year-old Bobbie Barlett of Burlington, suffered suspected minor injuries and were taken to the University of Kansas Medical Center, while Lancaster was also hospitalized with potentially serious injuries.
