SHARE NOW

Beginning Monday, April 20, the Kansas Department of Transportation plans to begin a field survey to gather information necessary for proposed pavement reconstruction on K-39 east of Chanute in Neosho County.

The survey of K-39 will start at the bridge near the Chanute east city limit and continue east 3.4 miles, ending near Jackson Road.

Survey activities will include the use of survey instruments on the ground to determine locations of existing features within the corridor. A member of the survey crew will contact property owners or tenants for permission to enter private property if needed.

KDOT expects this survey to be completed by late July.

Steven West, Survey Project Manager, will oversee this survey. For questions, please contact KDOT Public Information Officer Ray Nolting at (620) 902-6433.
