CHANUTE, Kan. — The City of Chanute is warning residents about an email that appears to come from Fire Chief Jeff Mitchell but was sent by a third party impersonating him.
City officials said the message did not originate from Mitchell or any other city employee.
Anyone who receives the email should avoid opening its attachments.
