IOLA, Kan. — An Allen County Sheriff’s Office employee has been placed on administrative leave amid an investigation into allegations of misconduct.
On October 29, Allen County Undersheriff Nate Jackson contacted the Chanute Police Department to assist with the investigation. The employee will remain on administrative leave until the investigation concludes.
Once the investigation is complete, the findings will be presented to the Allen County Attorney’s Office to determine whether criminal charges are warranted.
Allen County Sheriff Anthony Maness said the allegations do not involve private citizens or inmates.
Maness declined further comment, citing the ongoing investigation. No additional information will be released at this time.
