The Hutchinson High girls soccer team entered Tuesday’s matchup with Goddard-Eisenhower on a five-game winning streak and having been unbeaten in six straight games.

The Salthawks gave a talented Eisenhower team a battle, but the Tigers left the Salthawk Sports Complex with a 3-1 win.

Eisenhower has won seven in a row and vaulted to the top of the Class 5A West Region standings.

Each team scored in the ninth minute, and Eisenhower took a 2-1 lead at halftime. The Tigers scored early in the second half to double their lead. The Salthawks had a few chances to cut the deficit.

Hutchinson returns to action on Thursday at home to take on Andover.
