The Hutchinson High girls soccer team saw its season end Thursday at Stryker Soccer Complex, as the 11th-seeded Salthawks fell 6-0 to No. 3 seed Kapaun Mount Carmel.
The Salthawks hung tough for a half, as they trailed 1-0 at halftime.
But Kapaun, whose only losses this season have been to Wichita Life Prep and Blue Valley Southwest, dominated the second half with five goals.
Kapaun improves to 15-2-1 and advances to Monday’s state quarterfinals at Bishop Carroll. Hutchinson ends the season 9-7-2.
