The Reno County Sabres Homeschool football team improved to 4-2 with a 26-14 victory on the road Friday night at Cimarron.
The Sabres have an open date next Friday and will play Kansas Class 3A state powerhouse Andale on Oct. 23 to finish the season.
Cimarron (2-4) will play road games at Southwestern Heights next Friday and Kingman on Oct. 23.
In addition to beating Cimarron this season, the Sabres have defeated South Central, Hugoton and Belle Plaine. The Sabres losses are to Axtell and Rossville.
The Sabres are ranked third in the Homeschool Gridiron Hub National Power Ratings for 2026 after playing three documented 11-man football games this season.
The No. 1 homeschool team in the country is the Christ Prep Patriots from Lenexa and No. 2 is the Lighthouse Christian Chargers (Missouri).
Harvest Covenant Lions (Virginia) are fourth, followed by the NOAH Jaguars (Oklahoma), Dallas HSAA Blue Angels (Texas), Tomball Christian Warriors (Texas), Atlas Homeschool Rattlers (Texas), OKC Patriots (Oklahoma) and Osceola Grace Eagles (Indiana) .
The ratings blend three national services (HSratings 40%, MaxPreps 30%, Massey 30%) on a common scale, where 0 is about the middle of the ranked homeschool field.
A bigger gap between two teams means a clearer favorite, not a point spread.
