Versatility has been one of Taylor Riemen’s greatest strengths, as the Hutchinson senior has become a dependable presence on both sides of the line of scrimmage.
Rieman’s versatility is why he is a Sports in Kansas Player to Watch in 2026.
The 5-foot-11, 245-pound senior has experience at tackle, guard and center while also contributing on the defensive line.
In 2025, Rieman was named to the Sports in Kansas Top 100 Non-Seniors list, earning First Team All-League recognition and receiving Sports in Kansas 5A All-State honorable mention honors.
Rieman helped Hutchinson to a 7-3 record and has attracted college offers from McPherson College and North Dakota State College of Science.
Riemen is determined to make his final high school season his best.
“It’s my final high school season, and I am super excited for what’s to come,” Riemen said. “I want to prove everyone who’s ever doubted me wrong and show the world anything is possible with my smaller body type.”
Rieman said making the Kansas Shrine Bowl roster, earning first-team all-state recognition and adding more college offers are among his biggest goals this fall.
Rieman’s standout teammates include Brodie McCuan, Oaken Williams and Jayden Tuchart, who should all make an impact this season.
Away from football, Riemen enjoys making music, a hobby he continues to develop.
Athletics also run in the family, as both of his parents competed in college after earning athletic scholarships, something he credits for helping shape the work ethic and mindset that have fueled his success.
