McPHERSON, Kan. – The McPherson High School Football team bounced back from their week one loss to Great Bend by defeating Circle 28-14 Friday, Sep. 13.
This game saw the return of last year’s starting RB Carlos German, who finished with 52 rushing yards and a receiving TD from 14 yards out during the second quarter. However, the game belonged to sophomore WR Ashton Malm, who finished with two receiving touchdowns and a kickoff return TD.
QB Carter Allen continued as a dual threat, finishing with 52 passing yards, but leading the Bullpups with 59 yards on the ground.
The Bullpups are now 1-1 on the season. They will have their longest road trip of the season Friday, Sep. 20 to face the 2-0 Chanute Blue Comets.
