The Buhler High School varsity girls golf team earned a seventh-place finish (448 score) at the Hesston Invitational at the Hesston Golf Course.
Payton Polk tied for 15th place with a 103 score to lead the Crusaders. She tied for 15th with Hutchinson Trinity Catholic’s Clara Shank, who also shot 103 as did Cheney’s Nikki Weight and Hesston’s Brynn Thiesen.
Buhler’s Avery Moore placed 26th, 109; Ava Schmidt and Ashlyn Bounds, tied 37th, 118; Ava Rodenbaugh, 54th, 126; and Berkley Erickson, 59th, 135.
Cheney won the tournament title with a 372 score, followed by Hesston 388, Hays-Thomas More Prep-Marian 390, Larned 394, Rose Hill 436 and Kingman 438.
Andale placed eighth with a 456 score, followed by Pratt 472, Hoisington 495 and Nickerson 522.
TMP’s Brynn Schoepf won the tournament title with a 79, followed by Cheney’s Ella Haar in second place with an 84 and Larned’s Ariana Meyer in third place with an 86.
Nickerson’s top golfer was Aubree Nikkel, who tied for 24th with a 108 score. Jillian Hartman tied for 30th place, 114; followed by Rylee Gilbert, 58th, 134; and Cora Mae Narron, 65th, 166.
Hutchinson Trinity’s Allison Moodie placed 63rd with a 142 score.
