The Buhler High School boys and girls track teams both captured first-place at the Buhler Invitational Friday.
The Crusader squads beat 12 other schools for the championships.
The Buhler boys scored 110 points, followed by Dodge City 73.5, Salina Central 67, Wichita Bishop Carroll 60, Andover 60, Valley Center 58. Sa;ina South 33, Wichita Trinity Academy 32, Liberal 31.5, Maize South 18, Great Bend 16 and Towanda-Circle 8.
The Buhler Crusader girls scored 98.5 points for the title, followed by Salina Central 86, Wichita Bishop Carroll 77.5, Andover Central 75, Dodge City 69, Great Bend 47, Liberal 40, Andover 36, Valley Center 29, Wichita Trinity Academy 26, Salina South 15, Maize South 7 and Towanda-Circle 6.
First-place winners for the Buhler boys were Zach Friesen, 110 hurdles (14.71 seconds); Landon Martinez, 300 hurdles (40.62); 4×100-meter relay team (43.24); and Max Harmony, pole vault (14 feet, 7.5 inches).
First-place winners for the Buhler girls were Corbin Starkweather, 3200 (10:47.2); 4×100 relay (49.39); 4×800 relay (9:29.42); Jessa Losew, high jump (5-2); Addysyn Keller, long jump (16-4.75); and Jenna Lackey, pole vault (10-0).
