The Kansas Court of Appeals has upheld a ruling that reinstates the three-day grace period for returning mail-in ballots ahead of the August 4 primary election.
The court denied Secretary of State Scott Schwab’s request to keep legislation ending the grace period.
For now, mail-in ballots must be postmarked by Election Day and received within three days after polls close.
