HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The Hutchinson Police Department joined law enforcement across the country during the Speeding Catches Up With You safety campaign. From July 7-15, eight officers increased presence on local roads with a focus of enforcing speed limits and educating about the importance of recognizing speeding as an aggressive driving behavior with dangerous consequences.
The Hutchinson Police Department recorded the following statistics during the campaign:
- Total Contact: 160
- Speed Citations: 85
- Speed Warnings: 47
- Other Citations: 12
- Arrests: 1
