The McPherson Chamber of Commerce will hold the Annual Chamber Banquet & Awards on Wednesday, Oct. 21 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the McPherson Community Building.
The event includes honoring the recipient of the 2026 President’s Award, chosen by the Chamber’s past presidents (TBA), the Emerging Leader Award, Community Builder Award and the Entrepreneur Business Award.
The Chamber is currently taking nominations for the 2026 Emerging Leader Award. To be eligible to receive the award, the individual must be a current member of the McPherson Chamber of Commerce and must have been with their current company for at least one year or own a business with a history of continuing operations for a minimum of one year.
An Emerging Leader is someone who is an up-and-coming business and community leader whose professional success is matched by their commitment to serving the community. The individual demonstrates excellence, creativity, and initiative in their business or profession. Only one individual will be recognized.

The Community Builder Business Award honors Chamber members who play an active role in community advancement and recognizes a longstanding business or organization that has taken an active role in presenting a positive image of McPherson.
Ad Astra Radio is in the running for the Community Builder Award, along with Graber’s Ace Hardware, and McPherson College.

The Entrepreneur Business Award spotlights an innovative and forward thinking business that is growth-oriented, adaptive to change, exhibits good customer service and client relations, motivated to reach new markets, and overall excellence.
The Entrepreneur Business Award nominees this year are Empower Fitness, Stitches Quilt Shop, and The Ark Antiques & Flea Market.
