Local Youth Invited to Train Like the Pros During NFL Draft Weekend Event

HUTCHINSON, Kan. – While the 2026 NFL Draft captures national attention, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hutchinson is bringing that same excitement to the local level with a FREE Youth Football Combine on Saturday, April 25th from 1-3PM at Gowans Stadium.

, this high-energy event gives youth the chance to train, compete and experience what it’s like to participate in a real football combine.

The event will feature Mitchell Tinsley of the Cincinnati Bengals, who will be on-site engaging with participants and sharing his journey as a professional athlete. The combine will be hosted by the Hutchinson Community College Head Football Coach Drew Dallas, along with HCC coaching staff and players and the Boys & Girls Club of Hutchinson. .

Participants will rotate through a variety of combine drills and activities, including:

  • Timed 40-yard dash
  • Agility and shuttle drills
  • Position-specific skill work
  • Competition Stations

“This is a unique opportunity for our kids to feel the energy of Draft Weekend right here in Hutchinson,” said Tabetha Gray, longtime organizer from the Boys & Girls Club, “We want our athletes to show up, compete and most importantly, have fun while building confidence, skills and connections.”

The event is completely free and made possible through the generous support of our community partners and sponsors, including Midway Motors and Drew Dallas with the Hutchinson Community College Blue Dragons Football program. TCC to Geaux will also be on-site with food available for purchase.
