The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has lifted its stream advisory for Southeast and Southcentral Kansas. Officials say recent flooding and sewage bypass threats are over, and water is now safe. Earlier, several wastewater plants released untreated sewage due to storms or system issues, but those problems are now resolved. Impacted counties included Pratt, Reno, Kingman, Sedgwick, Sumner, Cowley, Elk, Chautauqua, Montgomery, and Cherokee.
