HUTCHINSON, Kan. — August 31, 2026 – Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System (HRHS) has named Jan Paul, MBA, MS, as Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective August 31, 2026.
Paul brings more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience spanning acute and outpatient care, clinical and ancillary operations, service line development, rehabilitation, digital health and support services. In her new role, she will provide operational leadership across HRHS, working closely with executive leaders, physicians and team members to strengthen organizational performance, advance strategic priorities and support the continued delivery of high-quality care throughout the region.

Most recently, Paul served as Executive Director of Operations for AdventHealth Kansas City, providing executive leadership across a broad range of clinical, administrative, technical and support functions. Her previous leadership roles with AdventHealth, Menorah Medical Center and Duke Medicine have included strategic planning, service line development, process improvement, physician partnerships, capital projects and leadership development.
Throughout her career, Paul has focused on bringing multidisciplinary teams together to improve operations, strengthen financial performance, enhance quality and patient experience, and create sustainable processes that support both patients and healthcare professionals.

Paul’s leadership approach emphasizes collaboration, transparency, accountability and continuous improvement. She has extensive experience leading organizational change and developing high performing teams while aligning operational priorities with the broader strategic goals of healthcare organizations.
As COO, Paul will help lead operational strategy across Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System as the organization continues working to expand access, strengthen coordination across services, and provide high-quality care close to home for patients and families throughout Central and South-Central Kansas.
Paul holds both a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science degree. Beyond her professional career, she values time with her husband, their two adult children, family and friends. She enjoys spending time at the lake, being outdoors and time with her two dogs.
