HUTCHINSON, Kan. – On July 23rd, 2026, at approximately 4:16 P.M., officers with the Hutchinson Police Department were dispatched to George Pyle Park, located at 100 E. Avenue B, for a reported disturbance.
Upon arrival, officers learned that an individual had been stabbed. The injured individual was located near the intersection of Avenue A and Walnut Street and was transported by Reno County EMS to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center in serious but stable condition. The victim is expected to make a full recovery.
The investigation remains ongoing. At this time, we do not believe there is an ongoing danger to the public.
