Harvey County Judge Appointed to Kansas Supreme Court Task Force

Harvey County Magistrate Judge Joseph Uhlman has been appointed to the Kansas Supreme Court Task force on Permanency Planning by Chief Justice Eric Rosen.

The Task Force is a multi-disciplinary committee that advises the court on ways to improve the care of Children who are under jurisdiction of the court.

It develops and implements plans for child welfare oversight and training, reviews federally funded child and family services, and collaborates with district courts, the Kansas Department for Children and Families, and Native American tribes.

Uhlman, who also handles some cases in McPherson County as part of the 9th Judicial District, was appointed to fill the unexpired term of 31st Judicial District magistrate Judge Charles Apt through June 30, 2028.
