HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The world’s largest annual geocaching event and conference, GeoWoodstock XXII, is coming to Hutchinson from May 20–24, 2026! This internationally recognized event will bring together thousands of geocachers from around the world for a week of exploration, adventure, education, and community celebration. The 2026 event marks the first time GeoWoodstock has ever been held in Kansas.

During their stay, visitors will have the opportunity to experience many of Hutchinson’s most popular attractions while participating in special events throughout the week.

Festivities kick off on Wednesday with a Brew & Crew event at Sandhills Brewing, where a small batch of geocaching-themed beer will be available for purchase. The excitement continues Thursday, with geocaching adventures beginning at Strataca and ending with an evening of shopping, dining, and entertainment during Hutchinson’s popular Third Thursday celebration.

On Friday, the fun continues with breakfast at Carey Park, interactive lab adventures at the Hutchinson Zoo, and more geocaching opportunities at Cosmosphere. The evening will conclude with one of the most anticipated highlights of the weekend—a spectacular drone show at Gowans Stadium beginning at 9:00 p.m. Stadium gates at the north and west entrances will open at 8:00 p.m., with concessions available. This dazzling aerial display is expected to be a must-see event for attendees and locals alike.

All of these events are free and open to the public, and GeoWoodstock organizers invite the entire community to join the fun!

Whether you’re a first-time cacher or an experienced adventurer, GeoWoodstock XXII promises something for everyone. Don’t miss this opportunity to be a part of geocaching history in central Kansas.
