President Donald Trump will return to Kansas this weekend for a campaign rally – Sunday’s event looks very much like the event that was cancelled for Saturday.
Kasey Windhorst, Business and Communications Manager for the Salina Airport Authority tells Ad Astra News that the event will take place at Salina Regional Airport on Sunday, November 1st inside Hangar 509, with President Trump expected to take the stage at 2pm.
Earlier reports said President Trump had cancelled to do tele-rallies to reach voters in nearly 20 states before the November 3 midterms. Now, Airforce One will land in Salina just days before the election.
The visit highlights the tight race between Republican Senator Marshall and Democrat challenger Adam Hamilton. Kansas voters have not sent a Democrat to the U.S. Senate since 1932. Both parties see this race as one to watch.
