Salina Police are investigating a residential burglary after a number of gold coins were stolen from a home.
Police Lt. Andrew Zeigler tells Ad Astra News, on Wednesday a resident in the 1200 block of North 9th Street reported someone had broken into the home through a window and stole a wooden box containing 14 gold coins.
The 1-ounce coins were wrapped in plastic and stored in the box in a bedroom. Total loss is estimated at over $50,000.
The investigation is ongoing.
