TOPEKA, Kan., Oct. 26, 2026 – Envista Federal Credit Union celebrated International Credit Union Week (ICU Week), Oct. 11-17, by recognizing the people, businesses and organizations that make Topeka, Lawrence and Hutchinson stronger. Through community giving, volunteer service and local business support, Envista highlighted the many ways local matters.
ICU Week activities included Shred Day in Lawrence; Local Business Day, where Envista distributed $400 to community members to spend at area businesses in Topeka and Lawrence; and Local Impact Day, which featured volunteer projects throughout the communities Envista serves. This included serving lunches at Topeka High School and Topeka West High School, packing bags for Impact Topeka, assisting with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lawrence’s Lights On! show, and participating at Hutchinson’s Third Thursday. Also during ICU Week, Envista celebrated Local People Day by providing treats for members at branch locations and hosting a Kansas-themed basket giveaway featuring products from local makers.
As part of its ICU Week celebration, Envista awarded three $1,000 Community Impact Awards to nonprofits serving Topeka, Lawrence and Hutchinson. Members and employees submitted nominations recognizing organizations making a positive difference.
The 2026 Community Impact Award recipients included Impact Topeka, Baby Jay’s Legacy of Hope in Lawrence, and Redemption Animal Rescue in Hutchinson.
“Local impact happens because of our members,” said Val Williams, VP of Marketing for Envista Federal Credit Union. “Every account, loan and interaction helps us invest in stronger communities, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to celebrate that impact during ICU Week.”
