Ad Astra Radio is proud to announce Andale High School senior Abbey McNeal as this week’s Athlete of the Week, presented by Hutchinson Community College.
The week – McNeal helped lead Andale to four AVCTL Division 4 wins, as she collected 35 kills and led the Indians in those four matches with a .429 hitting percentage. In an Oct. 13 win over Rose Hill, McNeal recorded her 1,000th career kill.
The season – McNeal, a senior, has had a strong season in leading Andale to a 30-5 record, earning the No. 2 seed in the Class 4A West Substate and homecourt advantage. She has 366 kills, the most she’s had in one high-school season. She also has a .326 hitting percentage. McNeal, who also does track and field, is committed to play volleyball at the University of Nebraska-Kearney.
