SALINA, Kan. — The “Bombastic Celebration of Arena Rock” is back, as HAIRBALL returns to Tony’s Pizza Events Center Friday, November 13th at 7:30 pm!
Welcome to Las Vegas meets Arena Rock! Over the past 25 years, Hairball has evolved into an explosive national touring act that brings the glory of the 80’s to hundreds of thousands of fans throughout the country, with a 2+ hour drop-dead accurate homage to the biggest arena acts in the world. You’ll see all of your favorite legendary hits – from Van Halen, KISS, Motley Crue, Queen, Journey, Aerosmith, and more – recreated time and time again in front of your very eyes! This bombastic, action-packed, Rock & Roll party is chock-full of surprises guaranteed to thrill!
Opening for Hairball is Wichita’s local favorite high-energy dance band, The Astronauts! The Astronauts are a Wichita-based 80s dance band dedicated to keeping crowds on their feet with anthems from artists like Journey, Duran Duran, Madonna, Def Leppard, and more. Featuring veteran musicians from several well-known regional bands, The Astronauts combine decades of live performance experience with an infectious stage presence and a passion for the music of the 1980s.

About the Tony’s Pizza Events Center: TONY’s Pizza Events Center opened on July 1, 1979. The $6.5 million facility obtained its bonds in 1976 hence the original name, the Bicentennial Center. The center contains a 7,500 seat multi-purpose arena and Great Plains Manufacturing Convention Hall (formerly Heritage Hall), a 25,000 square foot convention and exhibition facility. The convention hall underwent a $2 million renovation in 2010. Then from 2013-2016 the center completed a $13.1 dollar renovation.
