What do you get when you take 3,000 tulip bulbs and an energetic group of Soderstrom Elementary 4th graders? A great day of community service!
The 4th grade class on Monday, teamed up to plant the tulips along Lindsborg’s Välkommen Trail near the skate park to add a touch of color to the trail when spring arrives. Three thousand bulbs were planted in this section of the trail. The class learned that come springtime, the flowers will pop up just as the winter season says good-bye.
Following the event, Holly Lofton, Director of the Lindsborg Convention and Visitors Bureau was able to discuss the importance of civic responsibility, what makes Lindsborg good, and how even 4th graders are important in keeping the town beautiful and strong.
