Kansas health officials report five measles cases in the state, up from two the previous week.
All five cases are linked to out-of-state travel. The Kansas Department of Health and Environment says widespread community transmission has not emerged, but officials are not ruling out further spread.
Last year, Kansas experienced several measles outbreaks, many involving unvaccinated individuals. Nationwide, nearly 3,900 confirmed measles cases have been reported so far this year.
